Terms
Terms of use
Short, and in plain language. Y2DAY is a reading site: there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to buy, so these terms only cover what you can expect from the content and what travels with it if you reuse it.
The content is provided as it is
Y2DAY publishes measured attention data and editorial stories built on public sources. It works to publish only what the record supports, corrects or withdraws stories that stop meeting that standard, and marks a signal as developing or unexplained rather than inventing a reason. Even so, the site is offered as-is: no warranty of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or availability, and no promise that any particular topic, figure, or day of data will be there.
Nothing on Y2DAY is professional, legal, medical, or financial advice, and the attention figures are not a prediction of what will happen next.
Licences that pass through to you
Much of what you see is other people’s work, carried here under their licences. If you reuse it, those licences come with it:
- Wikipedia article titles, descriptions and excerpts are licensed CC BY-SA 4.0 by their contributors. Reuse requires the same attribution and share-alike terms.
- Wikimedia Analytics pageview data is released under CC0, and the Natural Earth geometry behind the map is public domain.
- Images come from Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons, where licences differ from file to file. Check the credit shown with the file before reusing it.
Y2DAY’s own editorial writing, design, and computed figures are not covered by those upstream licences. To reuse them beyond quoting with attribution, ask first: hello@y2day.app.
Fair use of the site
Read it, link to it, quote it with attribution. Please do not scrape it in a way that degrades it for other readers, present its stories as your own, or use it to build a product that misrepresents what the attention data means — a measured signal is not a verified story, and Y2DAY keeps the two apart for a reason. If you need the underlying attention data, take it from Wikimedia directly; it is public and free.
Corrections
When a source is corrected or retracted, or the evidence behind a story weakens, the story is re-checked and then corrected or withdrawn with a visible note. Changes are dated on the story itself rather than made silently.
Operator and applicable law
Y2DAY is operated under the name Y2DAY, reachable at hello@y2day.app. These terms don’t name a governing jurisdiction; whatever law mandatorily applies to you as a reader continues to apply regardless of anything written here.
